Why Iā€™m Running:

  • Safe, affordable housing is a human right. Clear lines can be made connecting a lack of stable housing to increased rates of mental illness, addiction, crime, and poverty - all issues that have risen as the cost of living has. I believe it is important to address these issues at the source, and that begins with the home.

As commissioner, I aim to propose and support initiatives that promote home ownership, lower rental costs, and allow residents of the Lehigh Valley to feel secure in todays housing market.

  • Of the many counties comprising eastern Pennsylvania, Lehigh county is leading in industrial development, with over 63 million square feet being devoted to warehousing. This has affected the environment by decreasing land that could otherwise be used for food or natural green spaces, along with the overall community at large by increasing cost of living and traffic.

As a county commissioner, we have the responsibility of approving land usage for development. As commissioner, I will support the limiting of future warehouse development.

  • Our open land and parks are one of Lehigh counties greatest resources, and should be preserved and nurtured for generations to come. The county is uniquely able to implement large scale environmentally conscious infrastructure and legislature.

As county commissioner, I would support the preservation of open land, parks, and trails, and promote walkability between county townships.

In addition, I would support development in carbon offsetting measures, solar panels, and electric vehicle stations.

  • Community is at the heart of why I am running for county commissioner. As one of the most diverse counties in the state, it is vital that we approach others in our community with respect and equity. I believe this starts not only with who is elected to office, but police, firefighters, teachers, and other public servants.

As county commissioner, I will support professional development of our police and social workers, non-discrimination legislature, and provide new avenues for community activists to be heard.

I will also work towards developing and promoting the creation and upkeep of community oriented locations such as libraries, museums, and community centers and gardens.
